Laporte Products Limited Warranty
All LaPorte Furnishings products come with a limited warranty designed to give you peace of mind. This coverage protects against manufacturing defects and ensures the quality and craftsmanship you expect from every piece. Read on for details about what’s covered, how to file a claim, and important terms to know.
Cool Shade Umbrellas Warranty
Canopy (Fabric):
- Sunbrella® marine-grade fabric comes with a 6-year manufacturer warranty against premature breakdown or defects.
Frame & Components:
- Frames and structural components have a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship.
- “Materials” include any webbing, thread, binding, buckles, zippers, grommets, poles, rope, logos, tags, pull tabs, straps, rubber, Velcro®, or other items used in construction excluding the fabric.
- “Workmanship” refers to all aspects of construction leading to the final product.
Interchangeable Parts:
- LaPorte umbrellas feature a modular design. If any part breaks or is damaged, replacement components can be provided under warranty or for a fee as applicable. There is no need to replace the entire umbrella.
Coverage Limitations & Safety Notes:
- Umbrellas can withstand 20 mph sustained winds and 27 mph gusts. For higher wind conditions, lower the canopy and secure it with the storage cover.
- Sunbrella fabric is water-resistant but not fully waterproof. During heavy rain, water may seep through; use the storage cover to protect the canopy.
Maintenance & Care:
- Cleaning Canopy: Use Sunbrella® Clean™ Multi-Purpose Fabric Cleaner or mild soap + water. Scrub gently, hose off, and air dry. Machine wash on gentle cycle if desired, but no bleach.
- Replacement: Canopies may be replaced at any time for aesthetic or size preferences.
Serenity Furniture Warranty
Materials & Construction:
- Serenity Furniture is made from High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) poly lumber, a long-lasting material designed to mimic real wood.
- This eco-conscious material is made from recycled plastics (milk jugs, detergent bottles) and resists fading, cracking, warping, and splintering.
Warranty Coverage:
- All furniture comes with a 1-year manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials or components.
- If damage is noticed upon delivery, contact us promptly for resolution.
Maintenance & Care:
- Clean with mild dish soap and warm water using a sponge or cloth.
- Avoid abrasive tools or cleaners that may scratch surfaces.
- Poly lumber includes UV stabilizers; prolonged sun exposure may cause minor changes over time, but the material is designed for long-lasting durability.
How to Apply
- Warranty applies to original purchaser only.
- To file a claim, provide proof of purchase and photos of the defect.
- Coverage is limited to repair or replacement of defective items; it does not cover normal wear, misuse, or damage caused by improper handling.
